Many people mount this speaker just above the TV if they have room. Place your center channel speaker above or below the TV. This speaker is usually smaller and is designed to deliver crisp dialog right to the viewers. It should be front and center so that it clearly broadcasts to the entire room.
Not sure what software would play video with that many channels though. I am going with the typical 7.1 configuration only now I will be adding 2 subs instead of one but in addition I will be adding 4 more speakers at a higher level to accomodate the balcony level. So there will be 2 speakers for the LS, 2 speakers for the RS, 2 speakers for the LrearS, 2 speakers for the RrearS, and the usual LCR speakers which gives me a total of 11 speakers. Arendal speakers and subs either theirs or the usual suspects would be a good choice.

In this case, the wires are color coded for easy access. I think this is probably how 11.2 works - as four additional presence channels which carry the echo, reverb, etc. to simulate a different acoustic venue such as hall, theater, etc. You would be best off to check your owners manual and see if there is an explanation of 11.2. Also I think Audioholics did a review of 11.2 in your receiver and that may explain the differences. I use Yamaha presence channels and I like some of the modes, but there are a lot of audioholics that don't like that simulated environment sound, so I would read up a little more before buying four more speakers.
Noise - Setting up a home theater's speakers will vary wildly depending on how close your neighbors are; additionally, your home's acoustics will play a part in determining which speakers best fit your needs. Personally i think it is way overkill, but Atmos can theoretically support 30+ channels. Hometheaterhifi.com needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding.

Place the rear speakers side by side along the center of the back wall. This allows them to work together to grab your attention. Though many modern speakers have auxiliary plug-ins similar to a headphone jack, some speakers still use speaker wire and clamps to connect the base speakers to the outer speakers. If this is the case for you, you'll need a set of wire strippers to remove about an inch from each end of a speaker wire.Make sure that your speaker wire is not attached to anything when you do this. Understand the notation for bundled sound systems. You will often see phrases like "5.1-channel surround sound", but there are few explanations for what this means.
Did lot of research on internet to finalize front speakers, surrounds, and atmos speakers. Could you please recommend affortdable speakers with good quality. Make sure that you're buying a home theater receiver which handles both video and audio, not an audio receiver.Again, the size of receiver that you buy will depend on the number of components that you have to hook up to it. Movies and TV - Most movies are multi-track , meaning 5 or 7 smaller speakers will create a more immersive movie watching experience than 2-3 expensive, large speakers. This helps you create realistic surround sound. Consider whether you prefer watching movies, listening to music, or a bit of both.

What would be my options then if I don't double up the speakers. Just pay the cost to get the new 11.2 receiver because if thats the case I probably won't ever update. I've actually thought about just removing 2 of my overheads so I only have 2 so I can save money on the receiver but if I did that then I might as well just double up the speakers I'm sure the receiver has enough power to push all 4. All receivers I have seen/used so far allow me to connect all speakers, but I have to choose between one of two 9.2 configs - it'll use all speakers with the exception of either the pair of front wides, or the pair of front highs. As the title states, I have an 11.2 speaker setup. The standard 5 with 2 large subwoofers, plus 2 high rears, 2 high in front, and 2 wide in front.

Side facing speakers should be parallel to the viewer, offering sound from the right and left. If you cannot fit them in line with the couch, place them slightly behind the viewer and angle them towards the couch. They should always be 2 feet or more above the viewer, pointing downward. Place your two front speakers at ear height, angled towards your seating location.
If you were to draw lines coming from the speakers, they should meet at ear level in the center of the room. Resolution is one of the key factors when trying to improve your TV's picture. The more pixels, the higher the resolution. This is why 2160p, also known as "4K Ultra HD", is more expensive than 1080p (also known as "Full HD") or 720p.The “p” stands for the number of pixels on the vertical edge of the screen. More pixels give the picture better clarity and color. Space - As mentioned in the last step, your home's size will limit things like TV screen size, speaker strength, and more.
